                 installation; ongoing tasks such as upgrading core
                 operating system and installed packages; handling backups
                 and emergency preparation; exceptional duties such as
                 transitions of live production servers; and emergency
                 functions such as disaster recovery.
               o 7 years experience specifying, designing, implementing,
                 maintaining, and upgrading TCP/IP networks, both physical
                 and logical aspects, utilizing Ethernet LAN's and various
                 WAN mediums, including analog modem, ISDN, Frame Relay,
                 DS1, DS3, and others.
               o 12 years experience implementing and maintaining network
                 services on Unix machines, such as HTTP, NNTP, SMTP, POP,
                 FTP, NFS, SNMP, and others.
               o 5 years experience specifying, installing, and
                 maintaining dedicated network appliances, such as
                 routers, switches, and remote access servers. Experience
                 with Cisco, Hewlett-Packard, Lucent, Ascend and
                 Livingston (now part of Lucent), and others.
          + Programming
               o 12 years of diverse experience with software engineering
                 and programming, with a focus on C programming in the
                 Unix environment, and on web-based apps primarily in PHP.
               o 12 years experience with scripting in support of systems
                 and network management, using languages such as perl and
                 Bourne shell.
               o 10 years experience with relational database (SQL)
                 utilization in support of existing and custom programs
                 for data storage and analysis, with particular emphasis
                 on PostgreSQL and MySQL.
               o Experience with various development tools and
                 environments, such as make, RCS, CVS, and Bazaar, and
                 debugging tools such as gdb and ktrace.
               o Experience using documentation tools and methods such as
                 SGML, XML, TeX, and roff.
